Vietcong.uk is an elite team coop server and we strive to provide a serious and immersive playing experience. We are following in the footsteps of great servers and clans like The 6thsense, Vietcong Elite Teamwork and the Minh Clan. The server setup and rules are focused on the team and not the individual, the primary objective of each mission is to complete as a team and we value discipline and communication with a team leader and designated team roles. We use TeamSpeak 3 for comms, please join if you can, even if you don't have a mic and can only listen (link on homepage). We don't tolerate rambos and players just wanting to rack up kills, you will be kicked or even banned.

We are open to new players, please come in and introduce yourself and have fun.

Server settings

•  • Vietnam mode (highest difficulty, no crosshairs and realistic shooting)
•  • Kicked after 2 minutes waiting in lobby (loitering), once game loaded you should join within 2 mins.
•  • Voting enabled at 50% of votes to action kick
•  • 2 Medic, 2 Engineers, 2 Machinegunners and 1 Radioman class open
•  • 3 Nades, 3 Traps and 1 Claymore for each player that has them
•  • Team respawn and 3 tries of each map

Offical server rules

•  1. Team respawn and map restart
•  2. Rejoining to bypass team respawn is not allowed, unless invited back by an admin or team leader. If you die, you have to wait until team respawn!
•  3. 100% team play, if you go rambo then you will be kicked or banned from server
•  4. Follow Team Leader orders at all times (if Team Leader nominated for game)
•  5. No Radioman Airstrikes unless ordered to by Team Leader
•  6.; No scoped sniper rifles, use Winchester rifle without scope
•  7. Join as following priority classes if not already taken - Medic, Engineer, Soldier, Machinegunner... so on.
•  7. Report Visual Contacts, especically if you are on Point!
•  8. No offensive language or behaviour, play nice and have fun!

FAQ

How can I register on the site?
Click the 'Player sign in' link at top left of website, then follow link 'Request sign up for duty' and fill in your details. Admin will then activate your account.

How do I download and install maps?
Click on the Map name you want to download, then in Map details click and download both map files .dat and .cbf. You may need to allow downloads from untrusted website. Then copy both downloaded map files (.cbf and .dat) to your Vietcong maps folder. Restart game for the new map to take effect.

How do I get past the join bug on some maps?
You may get initialization or time out errors when joining some maps. To get past this try escaping out to your Desktop when the game starts to load (progress bar). You will need to connect and wait until the game starts to load, progress bar starts at bottom, then breakout and escape to the desktop whilst loading. Wait 10 to 20 seconds (depending on map size and load time) then click on game and come back in and you should be at the game menu ready to start. You can escape windows to the desktop by pressing the Windows Key or Control Alt Delete on keyboard.
