Same as "!", usually used by the point man to report enemy contacts.

Used to inform other players you have killed a VC, report multiple kills like this ++ or +++ so on.

Away from keyboard
Used to inform other players that you are going for a smoke, having a drink etc.

Be right back
Like "afk", it's used to inform other players that you'll be "away" for a while.

Fire at will

Hold position
ip
In position
Tells the team leader and others that you are in the given position.

Man Down
You can report multiple casualties like this: 2MD.

Tells the point man to hold position and wait for new orders.

How can I register on the site?
Click the 'Player sign in' link at top left of website, then follow link 'Request sign up for duty' and fill in your details. Admin will then activate your account.

How do I download and install maps?
Click on the Map name you want to download, then in Map details click and download both map files .dat and .cbf. You may need to allow downloads from untrusted website. Then copy both downloaded map files (.cbf and .dat) to your Vietcong maps folder. Restart game for the new map to take effect.

How do I get past the join bug on some maps?
You may get initialization or time out errors when joining some maps. To get past this try escaping out to your Desktop when the game starts to load (progress bar). You will need to connect and wait until the game starts to load, progress bar starts at bottom, then breakout and escape to the desktop whilst loading. Wait 10 to 20 seconds (depending on map size and load time) then click on game and come back in and you should be at the game menu ready to start. You can escape windows to the desktop by pressing the Windows Key or Control Alt Delete on keyboard.
